Must-Have Tools and Equipment for Cleaning Your House

In order to maintain a healthy lifestyle, we should clean our house thoroughly (internally and externally) every once in a while. There are a lot of different cleaners out there for different purposes from which you can choose, but having the right tools for cleaning is what that counts the most. Even the best cleaner can’t just produce good results on its own; you need a tool that brings the most out of it. That’s why we have listed some must-have tools below that everyone should have with them in order to complete clean their house.

  1. Mop and Broom
These are the basic tools that are used to clean hard surfaces such as tile or wood. Most of us would be already using these but these are really necessary for just about every house, that’s why they are included in this list.
  2. Microfiber Cloths
If you are wondering; yes, they are really good at cleaning dust and electronic surfaces and they don’t leave lint behind. You should keep a lot of these in your house because sometimes they can clean surfaces on their own with just water.
  3. Sponges
You can find a lot of different types of sponges for different surfaces but most of the times they are used in kitchens and bathrooms. You can have a regular sponge for most surfaces and also have a microfiber sponge for surfaces that are dusty.
  4. Squeegee
Squeegees are really great for cleaning windows or any other glass surface that you might want to clean. Also, they are used for removing mold from the showers in your house, so it’s a must-have.
  5. Extendable duster
For cleaning spider webs, ceilings and fans, you can use an extendible duster. You can extend them to your desired height and clean just about anything you want.
  6. Scrub Brush and Toothbrush
If there is a stain that can’t be removed using sponges, then the scrub brush comes into play (if necessary you can even use a rotary one). If you don’t have the space where a scrub brush can be used, then use an old toothbrush.
  7. Bucket
You can store all your cleaners in a bucket or fill it with water and take it to the area where you want to clean something, like if you want to mop your floor, then a bucket will come in handy.
  8. Spray Bottle
Use a spray bottle instead of a bucket when you are doing minor cleaning; that way, you will save a good amount of water. Other than that, you can also make your own cleaner and use your spray bottle to spray it wherever you want.
  9. Pressure Washer
A pressure washer is used for cleaning the house externally. Wash Wisely though because the force can be big enough for damage, but if you’re careful you can easily clean your driveway, garage, outside walls, windows and basically any part of your house. Sometimes the pressure wash is enough but most of the times, you have to mop the surface too. It is a really great equipment if you want to clean your house externally.
  10. Vacuum Cleaner
Vacuum cleaner can be used to clean hard or soft surfaces, specially floors and carpets. You can also mount different filters such as the HEPA filter, to get rid of most of the dust.
